ADOBE advances social and mobile learning. The company announced Adobe Experience Manager Communities for learning (AEM), a broad social and mobile learning solution designed to enable trainers to rapidly disseminate insights across enterprise and channel teams, facilitate knowledge exchange, and measure results. AEM is designed to ensure that the most relevant content is easily discovered by users, with dynamic content recommendations based on user profile information, tags, and activitie. A customizable catalog can be organized to store content in a way for end users to browse and find that content — by topic, role, asset type, etc. The system supports a variety of content types – across MP4 video (including Adobe Connect recordings), PDF, SWF (Captivate from desktop only), HTML5 eLearning content, file links and attachments, and upcoming Adobe Connect meetings and events. This new service is available for iPad in the first release, which will become available in summer 2014

SMART announced its new SMART kapp digital capture board product line. SMART kapp allows users to write, draw, and capture ideas using dry erase SMART ink markers while enabling them to instantly save work images, convert them to PDFs, and send to anyone, anywhere, instantly. The product appears to be a wireless-ready, lightweight, dry-erase board designed for pretty quick connections to mobile devices.

RICOH Americas Corporation has introduced an interactive whiteboard targeting corporations and government agencies that need to collaborate across offices and geographies. The new RICOH Interactive Whiteboard D5500 enables a company to easily present finely detailed information and images on a 55-inch-diagonal HD screen. Presenters can invite up to 84 participants to view information via a virtual private network using up to four RICOH Interactive Whiteboard D5500s that can connect across an enterprise. Annotations made on one appear instantaneously on the other three. This new product is available now at a suggested retail price of $7,754 for the whiteboard, $1,305 for the optional stand, and $1,200 for a collaboration license.
